Abou Makhrouq Garden

Overview

The objective of the creating the Abu Makhrouq Park is to enhance and highlight the historical part of the site, the rock. Marked by the history of King Abdulaziz, this park will also become a place of remembrance and fusion between tradition and modernity.

We were in charge of desing developement phase. It consisted of a detailed analysis of the rock and its environment, including geological, archaeological, and geotechnical studies. We also developed the design for the entire garden, with the rock as its centrepiece.

The geological study involved a comprehensive survey of the rocks and soils in the area, including the identification of any geological risks. The archaeological study included an analysis of artifacts that could be found in the vicinity, as well as a survey of the local history and culture. The geotechnical study, meanwhile, was designed to assess the stability and durability of the rock in different weather conditions, as well as to determine its suitability for use in the garden.
